Somatic massage is a gentle, body centred approach that focuses on awareness, sensation, and the nervous system.

Through mindful touch and guided awareness, the body is supported in releasing held tension, stress, and protective patterns at its own pace.

This approach recognises the body as an intelligent system that holds memory, emotion, and lived experience. By working with the nervous system, somatic massage helps shift the body out of habitual states of stress or hyper-vigilance and into a sense of safety, ease, and regulation.

Somatic massage allows the body to lead by honouring its innate wisdom and natural rhythms. Rather than applying fixed techniques or forcing release, the work follows what is happening in the moment—sensations, breath, subtle movements, and emotional responses. This approach creates space for the nervous system to feel safe enough to soften, unwind, and regulate itself. By tuning into breath and physical sensations, the nervous system can shift into a state of rest and repair, supporting both physical and emotional well-being. This approach is especially supportive for stress, overwhelm, and trauma, as it honours your pace, boundaries, and consent.

The session begins with a gentle grounding meditation, inviting you to slow down, arrive fully, and bring awareness into your body. This opening creates a sense of safety, presence, and connection as you settle into the space.

From there, the session naturally flows into bodywork guided by conscious breath and gentle, therapeutic touch. An intention is set at the beginning to align the session with your personal healing goals, offering a clear and nurturing focus for the work as it unfolds.

The session closes with dedicated time for integration, allowing your body and nervous system to settle, process, and absorb the experience.
